As the Covid-19 pandemic grinds on,millions of people have been infected and the death toll has topped a staggering 300,000. In the face of this devastating outbreak,sovereign states are squaring off over the origin of the virus.
Who are our enemies and who are our friends and partners is a question every country tries to assess clearly.
Human history- from the earliest writings to the present- is only some 7,000 years. The universe,however,has been here for over 13.8 billion years. Our understanding of nature is very superficial and our ability against natural disaster is extremely weak. Human beings,regardless of their countries of origin,cultural traditions or religious beliefs are part of an integrated global community. Wherever we came from and wherever we are headed,we are always fellow humans. Natural disasters rather than any countries or regions are our common enemies. Confrontation among nations and cultural differences are all reflections of a narrow-mined competition that ignores our most powerful and destructive adversary.
